Lovely weighty door handles, good quality and looks great when fitted. The screws supplied with them are pretty rough on the edges though, so be careful when fitting.

The vintage brass doorknobs are really good quality heavy knobs which suit the four panel doors in our Victorian house perfectly. Having the right door furniture is a detail which makes all the difference to the overall look after a total refurbishment of a run down property. As we needed in total it was quite an extra expense at the end of a long programme of work, but definitely worth it.

The handles are lovely and the service provided by the customer service team was excellent. I would certainly recommend the product and the company!

These arrived extremely well packaged in a cardboard box and wrapped in a layer of brown paper and a layer of tissue paper.

The finish is excellent and the handles came with all the mounting screws and an allen key too.

The spindle that goes through the door is threaded at each end and the handles screw on and are kept in place by a grub screw.

We are renovating our house and purchased these to fit on to our original 1930s doors on the ground floor. They are perfect for the project, easy to fit and feel really sturdy and high quality. They are the most competitively priced I have found after lots of searching!

My only comment would be, is that I would prefer if the screws were brass to match the rose rather than black. But that is just my personal preference! The screws were also slightly too long so I hit the door latch. So I purchased a pack of sorter brass screws to match the rose and handles.

These brass vintage door knobs are just what I was looking for after shabby chiccing my vintage door they look great.

I purchased 3 pairs of these in combination with 2 pairs of the ebonised beehive ones. Carelessly I hadn't realised that they are actually a different size to each other. As a result, I am going to move them around having fitted the larger beehive ones on bedroom doors and the brass ones on other doors.

A bit of a faff to fit but it is worth it. The guidance suggests drilling guide holes into the door for the screws and this I would say is essential; I struggled to do it without doing so (I don't have a drill) and the supplied screws are not very strong and are easily damaged / decapitated if not...... .

All of that said, they certainly achieved the desired effect; a simple (easy!) change to make which nonetheless makes a huge difference to the 'feel' of a home.

The only criticism, is for the screws supplied with them. I didn’t like the type, or look of them, so used some others. Also only one Allen key is needed per order, not one per door knob. Save some money.

Just what I have been looking for some time, almost identical replica to my original Victorian door handle, that I had been sticking to the spindle with glue as no grub screw fixing on the original, and no obvious way to hold it securely. Gone are the mismatch selection of original victorian knobs which jarred all your bones when you turned them! and now replaced with these lovely knobs. A couple of thoughts - we have the origanal door locks in the doors and so the lovely black screws supplied were too long as they hit the lock before being fully screwed in so had to use original screws (not a problem but not as nice looking); also, when will someone invent an allen key that can be actually turned when you are working parrallel and very close to the door - infuriating but so long as you are patient it does work and is all worthwhile! Thank you Vintage Door Knobs for providing such a lovely product at such a reasonable price.

I ordered the beehive brass door knobs to go on our Georgian front door which is inside our porch. I could not believe how good the quality is bearing in mind the price. They match exactly an original over size decorative knob in the centre of the door. I also ordered the beehive escutcheons to stop draughts through key hole. We live in a Georgian house with Victorian additions which we bought 38 years ago. About 50 years ago someone had ripped out all the original ceramic or brass door knobs and replaced them with plastic ones!
For these last 38 years we have been searching for brass beehive doorknobs for all the internal doors, and, as we were not prepared to pay the £80 per pair that Hungerford Arcade dealers were charging for them, decided to look on the internet and chanced on your site - at last something that looked right and at an extremely attractive price. We've just bought and fitted 10 sets - easy to fit to our ancient doors, and are at a piece with our house. Thoroughly recommended.

This was so simple. Found these on line. They looked great. We ordered enough for the house. I was a little nervous buying so many without checking. They turned up really quickly. And the best bit. They look even better in person, and the weight and quality is spot on.

Been looking for this type of door knob for some time but have found them to be quite extremely expensive. Although a little smaller than others I've seen, they are beautiful & are excellent value. I was amazed at the quality of these knobs, particularly for the price. They have a genuinely period look - unlike many modern copies - and feel hefty and the hand unlike many cheap knobs that cost substantially more.

I have some hugely expensive brass beehive door knobs elsewhere in my house but needed an extra one for the kitchen door. As this is not in plain view I didn't feel the need to spend £45 on a single door knob so I went looking for something similar to the ones elsewhere in the house. That's when I chanced upon this item. I really wasn't expecting it to be up to much for the price so I was delighted when I received the item and found that it was much heavier and of far better quality than I'd anticipated. The item was delivered speedily too which was a bonus. It would be nice if this door knob came in an antiqued finish but really I am not complaining as it looks splendid as it is. Highly recommended.

Can only agree with all the other reviews. Great product at a great price. Beat's the large DIY stores by a mile. There was one hiccup, no screws & allen key in pack, but young lady at customer services was very helpful & said they would be put in post straight away, which I am sure will happen. Would definately buy from again.

These knobs are very good quality for the price. I have white painted panel doors with black rim locks and these look the part. Heavy construction and will be purchasing more to finish the house........

Brilliant quailty, easy to fit and such great value. They make my cheap painted doors look in keeping with my old Victorian house. I ordered them on Thursday and they arrived on Saturday - very impressed! I definitely recommend them!

We bought these knobs to refurbish our Victorian doors, and must say that as well as being one of the most reasonably priced door knobs, they are of excellent quality and look just the part on our four panelled doors.

I have bought the above Knobs & Key covers and they came within two days of ordering and are really good quality and look absolutely lovely on my newly painted doors. I am waiting for some more key covers to come into stock before I order some more. I highly reccomend them to anyone thinking of changing their door furniture. I think the website is really good also.
