I am delighted with this product be cause they are both well made and well designed. I bought them to replace white porcelain knobs bought from a local merchant which endlessly came off the spindle when used! These knobs have a clever spindle which allows you to wind the knob on and not depend on a small grub screw to hold the in place. So they look good, and they remain securely attached, brilliant!

We bought several pairs a few years ago and they look just right in our Victorian house. We have bought two large beehive pairs for our new business unit, which is a converted stable, as they will also look the part there. I have tried buying antique doorknobs in the past, with little success, as they often don't fit on the doors properly. This is why I bought these - the quality is superb, so good that you could easily match them in with original, antique ones..

There isn't much to say other than these are an excellent product. Very thoughtfully the are supplied with a spacer so they can be used with old imperial sized locks.

Well made and you can feel the quality. Streight forward to fit and look fantastic on my oak doors.

Really good quality. Lovely and heavy, giving a feel of quality. Definitely worth the price. The second pair I have bought. Will be buying more as I gradually replace door handles in my Victorian house. A minor query, though. Odd that the fixing screws are black-covered brass. I would expect ordinary brass. Also, make sure you drill the pilot holes at the correct angle so that the screw heads sit properly in their recesses. The angle should also prevent the screw hitting the lock mechanism (right-angled screws need less thickness of wood and so hit the lock).

Stoutly-made, proper brass, and very shiny. Caution: the screw holes are at an angle, so if you want the screw heads to be nice and flush, do not drill perpendicularly into your door, but at an inwards-slant. I learned this the hard way.

My Georgian front door now looks fantastic. I bought brass door knobs, knocker and escutcheon and the update has made a huge difference to the look of the house.

I bought one of these door knobs to look at the quality.
I have to say the quality is excellent, the brass is heavy, well manufactured, the Pitts mortice system is well made and the allen screws are good quality.
I bought another four.
If I have one comment it would be that the rose retaining screws are poor so I bought some brass No4 x 3/4 ins raised slotted screws which look much better.

Quite simply, they look and feel expensive. the same can be said of the matching escutcheons. Package and delivery (guaranteed to next day) were first class and, once again, the cost was modest. Finally, everyone I spoke to on the telephone was well informed, extremely helpful and very patient ( I always ask the daftest of questions). These were to replace an old brass door knob which had seen better days and was oddly paired with a Bakelite handle on the other side. These new, brass handles look fantastic and I will definitely buy more if I replace other door furniture in the house.

We ordered the smaller size initially, which came quickly in the post. When we saw them we felt they were too small to match our other door knobs so sent them back for the larger size. After a week we still hadn't seen them so I contacted the sellers who were very polite and helpful and immediately sorted out the delivery for the following day.
